3 Trader Joe’s Salmon Recipes, from Buttery to Citrusy

Trader Joe's not only offers valuable service and products to their customers, but the company kicks it up several notches with its mouthwatering recipes. If you're looking for a way to enjoy your salmon Trader Joe's style, look no further.

Trader Joe's will have celebrated 57 years by 2024's end. The grocery chain has been providing quality service and products since 1967, which is quite a milestone. Much of the company's products are manufactured under the Trader Joe's label, though you will find other brands in-store.

Trader Joe's also publishes original recipes, which they advertise on their socials, including desserts, lunches, and dinners. In this post, we'll focus on the latter, and the star of our dish is—you guessed it—salmon. So, without further ado, here are 3 Trader Joe's salmon recipes. Happy cooking!

Trader Joe's Maple and Brown Butter Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 1 Trader Joe's Salmon Fillet (about 1 lb)
  • 2 tbsp Trader Joe's Salmon Rub Seasoning Blend
  • 2 tbsp of your favorite Trader Joe's maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Trader Joe's salted butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then pat dry your salmon. Place it skin-side down on the baking sheet. Sprinkle it with the salmon rub seasoning blend, then coat it with maple syrup.
  3. Bake it for about 20 minutes or until its internal temperature reads 145°.
  4. While the salmon bakes, melt your butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir it continuously with a silicone spatula and bring it to a bubble. Remove from heat once it releases a nutty scent and the milk solids turn gold.
  5. Once the salmon is ready, remove it from the oven and drizzle it with melted butter when you serve.

Trader Joe's Sweet & Spicy Pecan-Crusted Salmon

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (1 stick) Trader Joe's unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp Trader Joe's Aioli Garlic Mustard Sauce
  • 1 ½ tbsp of your favorite Trader Joe's honey
  • 1 bag (28 oz) Trader Joe's Potato Medley
  • 2 tbsp coarsely chopped fresh Trader Joe's rosemary
  • Trader Joe's Canola Oil Spray
  • ¼ cup Trader Joe's Japanese Style Panko Breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup finely chopped Trader Joe's Sweet and Spicy Pecans
  • 4 tsp chopped Trader Joe's Parsley, plus more for garnish
  • ⅛ tsp Trader Joe's salt
  • ⅛ tsp Trader Joe's pepper
  • 2 Trader Joe's Fresh Salmon Boneless Skinless Fillets
  • 1 Trader Joe's lemon, sliced into wedges (garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Combine your melted butter, mustard, and honey in a small bowl and stir until mixed.
  3. Cut your potatoes into eighths. Coat them with ½ cup of the honey and mustard mixture (set the rest side), then sprinkle rosemary.
  4. Grease your baking sheet with the canola oil spray and place your coated potatoes evenly, leaving room for your salmon fillets to add later. Bake the potatoes for 20 minutes.
  5. Grab another bowl, combine your pecans, panko crumbs, and parsley, and then set aside.
  6. Place your fillets skin-side down on a plate, season with salt and pepper, and then coat generously with the remaining honey mixture. Finally, sprinkle the pecan mixture over the top of the fillets.
  7. After 20 minutes of the potatoes baking, remove the baking sheet from the oven and place the salmon fillets skin-side down in their reserved spaces.
  8. Cook them alongside the potatoes for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the fillets flake easily with a fork. Once the salmon is ready, serve the meal garnished with a lemon wedge and extra parsley.

Trader Joe's Citrusy Salmon and Shishitos Sheet Pan

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack Trader Joe's BBQ Cut Fresh Atlantic Salmon (2 fillets)
  • 3 tbsp Trader Joe's olive oil, divided
  • ¾ tsp Trader Joe's sea salt
  • 1 ½ tsp Trader Joe's Cuban Style Citrusy Garlic Seasoning Blend
  • 1 Trader Joe's fennel bulb, cored and sliced
  • 10 Trader Joe's baby red potatoes, sliced into thin rounds
  • ½ bag Trader Joe's shishito peppers (stems removed)
  • 1 Trader Joe's lemon, cut into 4 wedges
  • Trader Joe's chimichurri sauce to serve

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F, and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Place your sliced fennel, potatoes, stemmed shishito peppers, and lemon wedges on the baking sheet and drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and half a teaspoon of salt. Remove the shishitos (to be added later), and toss the remaining veggies. Set aside.
  3. Pat dry your salmon fillets and coat each with 1 ½ teaspoons of oil, ½ teaspoon of citrusy seasoning blend, and a pinch of salt. Place your seasoned salmon in the center of your baking sheet.
  4. Roast the salmon and vegetables for 15 minutes, then add the shishitos.
  5. Remove the baking sheet once the salmon's internal temperature reads 145°.
  6. Drizzle the chimichurri sauce and squeeze the roasted lemon over the salmon and veggies to serve.
