Shrimp Rasta Pasta Recipe

Ingredients for Jerk Shrimp:

  • 1 pound raw extra large shrimp, shells and tails removed
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Walkerwood Mild Jamaican Jerk seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Ingredients for Rasta Pasta:

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 sprigs green onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 6 ounces shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 16 ounces penne pasta noodles
  • 1/2 teaspoon adobo all-purpose seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon Walkerwood Mild Jamaican Jerk seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions for Cooking the Shrimp:

  1. In a bowl, coat shrimp with jerk seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Sear shrimp in olive oil until fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Instructions for Cooking the Pasta:

  1. Cook penne noodles until al dente, then set aside.
  2. Sauté garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
  3. Add bell peppers and green onion, cooking until tender.
